Technology

The Technology Circle brings people together from all technical clusters. With a shared purpose, we gather each week to showcase progress and engage in dynamic discussions that drive innovation. Due to our frequent get-togethers, we can collaborate efficiently by synchronizing the progress of related clusters to reach our goals.

V4 Production

This cluster is focusing on developing a new iteration of the sleeve. V4 Production makes the connection between the functionality and the design of the sleeve. It has multiple parts: hardware, form, and fabrics. The goal is to deliver a functional yet aesthetically pleasing sleeve.

User Testing

The User testing cluster focuses on conducting a research experiment to investigate the extent people are able to learn Team HARTs haptic language. Starting from the literature research on the theoretical application, to designing an experimental setup in which the technology is applied to potential users of the sleeve, this cluster is trying to validate the technology and discover the limitations of the sleeve.

Non Verbal Communication (NVC)

The Non-Verbal Communication (NVC) cluster investigates how the sleeve can be used to convey non-verbal cues, such as eye contact, nodding, and smiling, which are key components when experiencing a conversation. Integrating facial expression recognition software with the sleeve’s technology will allow us to transfer these visual signals to the users even when the visual information is not available.

Development (DEV)

DEV is the Development cluster, managing software and technical infrastructure. They help develop applications within the team, including user testing and backend connectivity. DEV works on many software projects with interesting stories and purposes. Computer science and data analytics principles apply directly to their impactful work.
