Our team is researching the possibility of communicating information via haptic feedback. We are designing a wearable sleeve that contains 24 vibration motors. These motors create distinct vibrational patterns that are felt on the forearm. Each of these patterns holds a specific meaning so that virtually any type of information that can be transformed into a sequence of vibrations can be transferred to the user by the sleeve.
To accomplish our goals, we divide ourselves into clusters! Each cluster focuses on a specific topic and sets internal goals that align with the mission and vision of the team. This approach gives team members a great variety of options when choosing what to work on as well as what skills to develop. You can choose from working on the software/hardware of the sleeve, developing new applications for research, all the way to networking with companies, and reaching out to the general public!
